Im calling dan quinn out

You decide which one. Dan why would you challenge that dude to a fight I thought you were a peaceful guy.
It was a fun weekend. Didn't quite get to making the puzzles was actually going to make some but watched the 1031 video 3 times. Wizard staffs went well. Skated the park a bunch. Did not land shit in front of the camera. I went to a party where I didn't know anyone, by myself, well i got invited by some lesbians and Fletcher was there until someone made fun of him for rolling a spliff. The guy was like, seriously we aren't in high school anymore. That's like saying. Beer, Seriously dude, you haven't moved on to Everclear. Anyway it was ridiculous. The party was a lot of fun, had an epic ride back home and woke up the next day ready to watch life of Ryan. That show is so fucking wack. It really make me appreciate my own life because he is such a douche and his life is so fucking hard. I just say at least I'm not a whiny little bitch. Brian needs to open his eyes so we can skate later. Oh i almost forgot, This kid troy, Kid who wears skatearmy shit and has really bad facial hair, almost got impailed by his board. He was trying to fling his board into the mini bowl and he went with his board and flew 5 feet above the coping and landed in the middle of the mini bowl. I thought he broke his arm and meawhile his board 30 feet up was falling down on him and missed his head by like a foot. So gnar and really dumb He was fine and cut his eybrow a little but i think he was more embarrassed for getting hurt doing what he was doing. Well the school week is here so here is a link.

This song fucking sucks. SO listen to it you doofus.

Andy Mac Endorses this shit

I am so sick of Red Bull

First of all I would like to preface this by saying i love red bull, I just had too much this weekend. That being said Here is me and Bjorn's weekend.

Friday Morning:

We woke up at six, went to Chris' House, then proceeded to search for mark and Elliot for about an hour. After finding them it was about nine. We finally met at the red bull warehouse, and got our shit straight and left. There was nine of us: Bjorn, myself, Chris Murphy, Derek Olsen, Ray, Scott from REDBULL, Mark Gutterman, Elliot Lindsey, and Evan Estrada. Once assembled, we left right away and drove all day. Skated some parks on the way, the boys killed it, I filmed a whole bunch. Anyway, made it to Boise, checked into our BALLIN' hotel, and then went to this bar type place that was almost like a club, we then ate on red bulls expense. Went home, went skating with bjorn at the park which was a block away from our hotel. This park was kind of fun, was open 24/7. We met some interesting bums, and then a kid who I thought looked like sierra fellers, so I named him little sierra. Went to the hotel, went to bed, blamoooo.

Saturday:

Woke up, skated to the place where the event would be, filmed setup, etc, then skated around downtown looking for a place to dine. Found one, ate, went back to the event, drank lots of red bull etc. Quallifying round started, everyone KILLED it even little sierra. We then had a couple hour break til the main event, went to this tranny park, filmed, walked all the way back with my gear cuz of a mix up, then got shit started again. The next round was for five spots in the finals. I swear I have never seen so many tricks go down. Sometimes as much as twelve in a row. back blunt back smith kf back fifty nollie smith, etc all in a row, and the list went on. This round ended, and I kept filming.

Filmed the finals, where this one little kid KILLED it, and in the end, this guy who salad grinded el toro won. He was SO amazing. All in all It was an amazing contest.

Went to the hotel, couldnt get into the afterparty, chris called me later and said he had a bracelet for me. I walked all the way down and realized my phone was in the room, so I had no way of getting my bracelet. I then went to the park and skated in stead, and then went to bed.

Sunday:

Woke up, filmed with like five locals, who threw down. Was a fun group, and then left and got home.

The trip was awesome, so many stories, I just hate typing.

So trust me.

I missed everyone....

Robin, Guggey, Cassy, you know, all the local peeps. ha.

guggy kickflips el toro in a sundress!

today alex, adam, paulius and myself filmed at a new spot, but sorry we cant tell you about it. we all got clips, it was tight. paulius used the word 'steeze' and i scolded him for it. i hate that word.

Dan quinn calls out kimbo slice!

i bet he'd beat him in s.k.a.t.e.!

if you didnt know better you would mistake him for a giant hairy truck.

so this is the fourth day i've had the same head ache, As each day goes by I worry about my health even more. I'm not sure what is wrong. Anyway I drank a whole bunch of nyquil to put me asleep and this post will reflect that decision. Skated with bjorn yesterday and realized that I really enjoy cowboy's company.

Anyway I miss nick, and his stache. Robin visited today, blah blah blah, more useless info for you.

Red bull ten step contest this weekend that jux is filming, see the website for more details, I even made it on redbull .com. Check the history part!

i hereby nominate....

the following people as kreamers.

Jeremy Smania: he's young, dirty, brutish, and aesthetically sensitive, which as a fellow artist i personally admire and relate to. he will drink and smoke you under the table, and without much fuss and lately he has been learning alot of tranny tricks, which is way cool

Photobucket

Sven Torstviet: although he lives in oregon and knows only myself and adam, he has had lunch with cassy, robin, and logan. he skates, and legend has it is getting into fixed gears, and you better believe he can fuckin' 360 flip with thoses short ass legs of his. he also manages one of the most popular core shops on the west coast, Exit Real World. he likes beer and punk rock, fuck it, im saying he's officail, sven's tight.

Photobucket

Robert Murdock: pure magic. hilarious, talented, and all around rad. he's got a cool wife, two cool dogs, and an amazing outlook on the world. and it shows in his art and music. he played bass for the favorite bozeman band The Touchers, and he is the less famous chris murphy.

Photobucket

oh, he SHREDS too.

Photobucket

and who can forget cassy, our surrogate mother, our saving grace. always hyping us up, always down for a 40 and some boob jokes. she is already a kreamer but look, her hawk was even cooler then bjorns!

Photobucket

peace!

Interlaken

So i went to fuckin switzerland this weekend, their mountains make our mountains seem like pussy ass bitches. I stayed in a town called Interlaken, in the attic of a hostel for free, not to mention it was above a bar. Pretty good setup. I skated a bit, not too many fun spots, good flatground. I ate at hooters, nice hotwings. Other than the mountains switzerland was pretty boring. On the way back though i skated the Milan Train Station, which was in fully flared. I think Lucas Puig back tails the top ledge to 360 shuv out on it. I only had ten minutes so i just hopped on a 5050. Some Italian ass family sat down on my ledge and i left to catch my train, kind of hoping I woulnt make it in time. So anyway i have class tomorrow, then its off to Florence to see some art n shit nahmsayin. And I have a mustache, fucking brilliant.

I hate you

So yesterday i shot my film. What a long day. But I realized that I am doing what I want to do. I'm comfortable with where my life is going. This weekend I tried this gnarly drop in thingy and hurt myself. I think I'll try it again... Couldnt hurt!

this is the only video worth watching.

Everything that keeps me together is falling apart....

As I sit here on a Saturday night, drunk and tired. I should be learing about the differences between Perpetual Inventories and Periodic inventoryies but instead, I am watching scootervideos realizing how great life really is. Scootering is fucking lame. Skateboarding is the best thing I could ask for. If it wasn't for that I would be the laziest piece of shit. School doesn't seem so bad after an after school skate session. If I didnt skateboard I would be an alcholic. It is one thing in my life that I legitimately love. If I didnt get to ride my bike and go skateboaring I might go nuts. For fuck sake enough of this.

Skateboarding remains rad. The filming for kreamup continues to rape and pillage besides the fact we are missing our dear friend nick weber. School is more hectic than ever. I hope it gets shitty out for 3 days. Anyway for the weekend rapup. Friday, got drunk after class with bjorn and sessioned a painted curb in front of our house. It was honestly the best skatespot ive skated in a while. After that i smoked and obtained fletcher status. I then began on an epic bike ride to pick up hot and readys, one for me and one for logan. Got back and logan was wasted, overall a fun night.

Today, woke up at 11 and went to RMR where I was completely out of it. We went to some new spots and Logan destroyed each and and every one. Tricks were had by all. Later, we particapated in a Next Invasion Drinking game. Basically it involved everyone drinking(bong hits for nate) every time a mobbed trick was landed or everytime they demonstrated a "rager" attitude. We were drunk instantly. Logan drank 2 beers during the intro. Nate played everytime his girlfriend was on screen he would take a massive bong hit. I played everytime that douche talked I take a massive chug. After that we went to this party. Got more drunk and went for a ride with Adam and Andrew. Bombed hills, and flipped off a diesel truck where they proceeded to go into the parking lot we were in and a drunk girl yelled "fucking bicycle fags!!!!!!!" Ha. Riding at night is so sick. Anyway Im tired and Drunk im going to bed grateful.

Thanks to all that made my week epic, all the kreamers (Bjorn, Logan, Will, Nate, Adam, Andrew, Bailey, Bri Pod, Guggey, Robin and Cassy) Thanks for making my weekend awesome. You are all the best.

salt lake shitty.

i saw this on the transworld snowboarding site, salt lake city is officially the last place i want to go live after college, to bad the skiing there totally rules.

http://www.slcminiramp.com/

anyways, fall is upon us, i love skating in the fall, except when the sun sets early. winter will be here soon, and that means ski time, woot! but im still in skate mode, shit, i still have a shit-ton of filming to do! adam? logan? bjorn? wanna go get some clips with me? when time allows of course.
anywho, i love gus engle, he gets me hyped. i want to make skiing more like this..

nerdout sesh totally ABD, by me, will beardslee.

Bobby Turner

So the idea of making a bobby turner comic character has came up in conversation, and it is down to the idea of just having him as legend, or as a stick figure with elaborate people around him. I am going to be working on a concept tomorrow. Anyway, skated at the park with Adam and Andrew. The park was so fun today such a good sesh. Classes suck and I am kind of swamped now but not enough to not go skateboarding. After skateboarding I got a tour of Andrew, Adam, and Dodge's house. It is pretty sick and close to the skatepark. After that went downtown with will and logan and saw a crazy cowboy. He came into burger bob's and drank a glass of water and started yelling about some shit and yehaaing. He was pretty epic and mostlikely homeless or just legendary. Speaking of legendary I talked to worm today and i realized he is just a quiter shawn. He talks about the same stuff and has the same attitude but is just quieter and way better at skateboarding.

bitch session

So i have become officially insane...

This weekend...

well it started with a nice drive, I got a trick at white hall. Sleep, woken by my alarm that was set for four thirty. next a whitefish sesh. Fun fun blah blah. Mini ramp sesh, etc etc... Bad dreams, leaving early, woken up by the smell of dog shit... Drive to polson, realize my board is gone. Still dont have that... charlo ditch, bees bees bees... St ig.... Austin killing it, taco johns in the zoo, and then the break down of the car. Stayyinggggg at bjorn;s dads house... Wake up early, miss a class, get the car fixed, and get home in time to jump out of the car and run to class. Sit next to girls in class with the smell of skate trip all over... Oh did I mention my freak out in polson????? yeah that was great, um yeah study all night, then go to bed today, wake up go to class all day, and support the company that employs me, followed by this...

What does this some up to???? I'm starting to lose it... My temper, weight, my mind.

all these things to do and I still have time to bitch. About what??? nothing worth bitching about really. Someone thats very close to me told me this summer that dont take your days for granted, and live your life not worring about living by any type of timeline, because who knows when your very time on earth will be reduced to a timeline.

I'm out. My gift and curse is time... I will use it wisely.

Distort Yourself and Reality WIll Follow

I thought that this quote was sick.

The traditional way of looking at skateboarding is largely defined through the mechanical parameters of the camera and its resulting reproductions. This pinhole point of view peripheralizes skateboarding's entirety to focus squarely on the performance of peeking tricks. Specific fractions of skateboarding time get frozen, framed, cropped, colored, edited, and reproduced in the production of both still and moving images. the images we use to portray skateboarding are in fact highly stylized distortions.

But if the camera can be said to inherently distort its subject in relation to reality, it can also be said that skateboarding equally distorts our perception of reality. in this light of skateboarding, time expands as one is actually aware of body relating to board while landing a trick that lasts a fraction of a second. Solid form morphs in shape ans scale as blocks or rails become perceptually smaller as allies become higher. Symbolic value mutates architectural ornaments become objects of recreation. The combination ultimately transforms the real and metaphorical barriers of the built environment into subsequent launch pads of distortion. skateboarding proves; distort yourself and reality will follow.

Thus to see anything anew, its normality must be distorted. When acted upon, the ramifications of such a simple notion become potentially radical and political. this can be seen by the fact that currently skateboarding is simultaneously more popular and more illegal than ever. skateboarding threatens the stats quo  because through direct and simple engagement, it challenges the concrete and symbolic environment otherwise built to foster productivity of conformity for its inhabitants.

With this thinking in mind for Skate & Create, I wanted to put forward a space that embraced such distortion already inherent in skateboarders' way of seeing. in a sense, I wanted to transfer the fleeting views of peripheral vision to the central space of the skate photo. You can see the results for yourself, but simply said, if skateboarding is a way of seeing, thank you for looking, twice.

Creamer Number One

Got back from whitefish today. It was an epic trip and everyone killed it and got clips. Our Asian kreamer picked the number china Number ONE!!! as his official number. The trip was fun except for the fiasco in Missoula, but it turned out fine. Anyway there will be pics up taken by an authentic asian soon. Look out for a promo for kream up vol. 1.

my heart resides in the streets.

although i love tranny(though im now bjorn ryan-gorman), and ramps and skateparks like the rest of the kreamas, my heart with always be in street skating. nothing quite like cruising the city, popping tricks as you go. i always find myself checking out skateparks, and looking at the street obstacles first, and finding myself disapionted when red builds another park in some tiny town with some halfassed garbage afterthought street course if it even has one at all. i just saw this on transworld and i gotta say this kid can shred, one the best styles ive ever seen, the first ollie says it all. the goods.

Euro Update

So I just got back from Venice today. Place smelled like piss (not paulius), had nothing to skate, but did have cool art. I am back in Perugia now, its raining, hard. Gonna try and go into town this weekend sometime and do some skating, they have a nice indoor park here somewhere that i wanna hit up. My non-skate-non-halo-photo buddy might come with and film some shit. I found a cool little plaza here. Anyway I have just been shooting lots of photos, I seem to be traveling a lot, not much skating, I met a hot Albanian girl named Gerta on the train, gonna get some coffee with her later this week perhaps. I am growing a mustache as well, three of us are in a mustache growing contest. Fuckin killer baby!

PS - I posted a link to the MSU in Italy blog, you can see my mustache grow in weekly updates, as well as photos I have shot if you wanna get artsy.

Popin my cherry.

So I just got added as a contributer and i figured that i would pop my blogging cherry with a massive treflip by one Sean Malto. So here it is.

all in all i had a GOOD day. despite not showing up to work, im very sorry robin and bjorn, really really. but i slept in, painted some cool crap, went skating, got the keys to my new whip, and went to a rad snowboard movie. the icing on the cake was i won and interesting raffle, so basicly won a suprise prize that is yet to be anounced. here how it goes, B.Y.E.P. is putting up six prizes for six winners at various ski movie premeiers this fall, the prizes include anything from a split-boards to a snow-cat trip in canada, and i one the first spot in the raffle, so im garanteed a prize. i hope its the trip to BC, but if its some expensive gear that im never going to use im going to flip it on ebay and buy some NAS's. word up.

i like the art up top, but it needs some serious resizing.

cuz i'm out here grindin'... COFFEE

So its been a while since I've posted. I feel that my post will benefit a few days of absence in between each other. Anyway, been filming a whole lot. The hvx is amazing, to say the least, and school has started. I am sooooooo busy, but enjoying myself a lot. Lately I have gained a good collection of scabs from various skate injuries. I am confident these will provide use as a good midnight snack. MMMMmmmmm. Anyway that was gross... and YES bjorn, it was a joke. Anyway, studying in the house of cream is rather unconventional to say the least. Instead of staying in our respective rooms and cracking down on our scholarly dudies, we make use of the facebook instant messenger. Even if we are five feet apart, each study sesh is accompanied by a hourly comment to each other. These comments range from DJ Khaled lyrics, boy band lyrics, or the ever common line from hot rod "hey little girl, I don't like cherry, it upsets my stomach." I have found this form of studying to be quite beneficial to myself. Instead of quickly burning myself out, I find it easy to prevail with my studies.

BTW, porn school is going well... lots of work, but you know what they say, pirates! wasnt filmed in a day.

We miss nick... and spike. Spike didnt visit last night.

and i'm at work, grinding coffee...

Love you robin, guggey and cassy.

Weekends and Bomos

Im in the library after an epic skate day. First we started off in WhiteHall just destroying the pole jam. Next we headed to Dillon and acted like douches for a majority of the session. It was a fun time and Bomos were had by all. On the way back we just vibed to Macho Man Randy Savage and T-Pain. IT was sick. Well A day in the life has started for bjorn and some good footage was had. Stoked for the fish this weekend. Oh i almost forgot. There is an asian member in the crew now and the raciest jokes are flowing from both sides. Not truely but he is good at filming and can mannuel really well. Originally he is called The Fist of Legend by Legend himself but now you can call him bri-pod.

RIP Van Wastell

Just read some terrible news on the Thrasher and skateboardmag websites. Dude ripped and had an amazing style.

young kids dont know what portabella mushrooms are.

i had a party at my house tonight, hella crunchy. all the kreamas and kreamettes were in attendence, minus a very missed and loved nicolas weber and casey broof. we just bullshitted forever on the back patio, made fun of the slarus(baileys pug) and drank beer. kate has ALOT of older friends who none of us knew, except me becuase i live with her and have met them on occasion. grown ups inside, kiddies stealing the grown ups beer otuside. bomo.

ok, im drunk and have a headache from a long day of school and work, i feels like a pre-hangovr hangover. ok bye.

note to nick: Bomo is short for bodacious moment, it can happen anytime, anywhere. use it.

Spike would shoot lasers out of his eyes. I would use him for good. Any way skated the park today until it was dark. Played skate. Will invented a trick named the beardslee shuffle. Went to cosmic and got a crunchy ass pizza. Talked about the new groove I heard on the AM radio earlier. Apparently the guitarist from Phish got together with the Dave Mathewes band and got an epic jam together. Got back watched laser cats again. Watched part of D3, then 3 ninjas and now I am here and with some reading to do. The kreamas will have a friendship quilt droppin this winter. The kremas, aka we the best, aka terror squad, are just killin it.
